Anne-Louise Bosmans’ Bruxelles
The 22nd March, Anne-Louise Bosmans launched her new poetry collection, Bruxelles, with a reception and reading at Danish Cultural Institute.
Bosmans is a Danish poet based in Brussels, she graduated from the Danish Academy of Creative Writing in 2001, and she has previously published Punkter, poler og par (2002), Villa (2007) and Vi er amøber (2009).
Bosmans writes somewhat narrative poetry that forms small scenes of events of everyday life, loss, love, and creating a family. Bruxelles takes its point of departure in the experiences of settling into a new life and city, how that city, Brussels, reacts to the 22nd March 2016 terror attacks, and how to find yourself and your way in the city again after the attacks and the following collapse.
